Drainage Contractor

Drainage Design and Landscaping

Compass Land & Construction is a drainage contractor with locations in Lake of the Ozarks & Jefferson city, MO. We can design custom drainage solutions for any property.

Proper drainage design is important as pooling water can cause damage to your house structure or property. Designing and installing a drainage system is the first step in landscaping a property, so water has somewhere to go. Some things a property owner must consider are property grading, soil science, vegetation, and trees on the property.

Our team uses nature-based solutions along with underground pipes, grates, channel drains, and trench drains for erosion silt & sediment control. Water is drained properly without causing any soil loss or erosion.

Reliable Long-Term Solutions

Our team will inspect your property, plan for grading and drainage, lay underground pipes, grates and drain basins, channel drains and make sure water drains without damaging the soil. We can also lay trench drains to help control silt & sediment from being lost to erosion.

We also design and build natural drainage channels made from rip rap river stone that are part of your landscape, ensuring water properly drains.

Types of Drains

Area Drains

Used for low lying terrain, these are connected to a wider network of underground drains. These are ideal for areas with heavy rain. Used to drain areas prone to flooding easily.

Channel Drains

Used in patios, foundations, and driveways and other hardscaping areas, channel drains are 4 to 6 inches in width. These can run indefinitely, and come with steel grates for vehicles traffic or PVC grates for foot traffic.

French Drains

French drains are under wrapped in landscaping plastic, then covered with drainage rocks, and aggregate. The rock keeps debris from entering the drain basin and creating clogs. These are generally used in landscaping where deep trenching is not possible.
